Anonymous comments to my Nikki's birthday post..

Good evening Gals.
Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving such caring comments
about Nikki's birthday for me.
How kind (most) of you have been!
Today was a mix of emotions for me.
Sadness upon visiting Nikki's grave,
happiness having lunch with one of my Daughters
and upset over the comment "anonymous" (who is not anonymous to me) left today.
Please read them below..
Even though "anonymous" may have had good intentions,
her 2nd comment has upset me.
To "anonymous"... if the passing of my precious Daughter brings sadness to you can you possibly imagine what her passing brings to me?
I need to move on....... you say?
Well "anonymous" that's so very easy for you to say..
Wonder if "anonymous" will now delete her comments after this post?
"Anonymous" I think you need our prayers....
Good night Gals, I just got home from work and I'm tired.

~Today my precious Daughter Nikki would have turned 35~

We are given many precious gifts as we go through life.
Some we are allowed to enjoy for a long time...
others only briefly.
But each gift has the power to change and enrich us,
to make us better human beings.
Nikki you were that precious gift...
to me, your sisters and
all who loved and cared for you.
You will never be forgotten!
Until I see you again sweetie
Love, Mama

~My Grandson, the tree hugger~

At 6:35am this morning I get a phone call from my Grandson Samuel..
He says "Grammy please go get a newspaper" I say "OK sweetie, but why?"
He says " You'll see" and laughs.
So I walk to the corner gas station for a newspaper.
To my surprise I find the above photo of Sam (left) & his best friend.
Sam goes to a Catholic school and is in the second grade.
He told his Mama last night at bedtime.
"Mama we planted a tree for Earth Day, our picture will be in the paper".
Nothing makes me smile like my Grandchildren :-}
Sam is such a sweet and gentle child.
"Thank you God for Samuel & Isabella,
please watch over them and keep them safe"
Grammy Mary

~Yesterday: really good & not so good news day~

Yesterday was a mix of really good and not so good news....
My 11 year Granddaughter Isabella suffers from Juvenile rheumatoid arthritis an autoimmune disorder and must have injections of Enbrel and Methotrexate plus take other medications and therapy twice a week..
Heres the really good news:
Isabella may be in remission! Yeah :-} Yesterday I received a call from my Daughter and Isa who were on their way home from the pediatric rheumatologist. They were so excited and said they had some great news for me. They told me the Doctor said that Isa may be going into remission. Blood work was taken and will be checked out. It will be a while before we know for sure. For now Isa must continue her shots, therapy and diet.
What fantastic news!! I have prayed & prayed for this day. Thank you God!!
We were told that many JRA children can go into remission at the time of puberty. Approximately 75% of JRA patients eventually enter remission with minimal functional loss and deformity.
Now the not so good news:
My last 2 mammograms have been abnormal. Fri. I had an Ultra Sound it was abnormal, a small solid mass was found in my breast. Yesterday my Doctor called me to his office and said I must see a surgeon. I've gone through this before having a mass removed from my other breast. After complications before & after surgery all turned out OK..hopefully this will too. Oh what a year this has been with few ups and many downs..
I'm doing a bit better with my depression. I tried the Paxil it gave me an irregular heart beat and was told to discontinue it. I guess I will just have to take each day as it comes and hope for the best.
Thanks to you all my dear blogging friends for you help, comments, cards and emails.
Bless you for hanging in there with me..
I love you! ~Mary~

Saint Theresa's Prayer

Saint Theresa's Prayer
May today there be peace within.
May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be.
May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith.
May you use those gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you. May you be content knowing you are a child of God.
Let this presence settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to
sing, dance, praise and love.
It is there for each and every one of us.
