The sling bag was made with vintage ticking & barkcloth..

This is my first "Pink Saturday"

...I thought I'd join in on the fun.

Today I dedicate my "Pink Saturday" to my friend Deena who's fighting cancer..

the above banner is one I made a while back for her.

This sweet Gal has had a very hard time of it

through all her surgeries, chemo, radiation,

she's put on a smile and has shown us all such courage and love!

So too all who see this post PLEASE

I just walked to the bank about 1/2 city block away

oh my gosh it's so cold out there!!!

The radio says it's -19 with the wind chill..

Age and Cold

There is a combination which I have found to be a chilling pair.
It’s the wrinkled and tattered skin of mine and this cold arctic air.

My joints are sore already so they do not need the chill.
To say the least my aching knuckles are not a real great thrill.

Oh for the days when a snowball fight was considered a really fun game.
These days I will stay inside by a roaring fire if it’s all the same.

I look forward to the days when the kids come for a visit.
I can hint how wondrous the fire would be and maybe they will build it.

Either way I prefer the warmth these days as do my fingers and my toes.
Whenever it’s cold and snows.

Many of you know how I enjoy showing off

of my grandchildren "the loves of my life".

When I've needed a large tote in the past I used this one

with photos of Bella & Sam..

It needed to be retired so I

made the small one.

I even asked Santa for it, but he must have forgot.

My studio is in need of a clean up & de-cluttering.

Maybe this book will give me the push I need to get busy.

My love seat is gone..
I gave it to a friend who needed it more then I did.


I painted this book shelf white & moved it into my living room
I have another in it's place.

The barkcloth pocket storage I made,

it comes in handy.

my sink.. great to have one in my studio.

Cupboards need to be painted white..
