~Boo Witch door greeter stockings~

I came across Witch stocking
on Etsy or eBay
they were not in my budget to buy
so I made my own...
I cut out 6 stocking using medium cotton fabric
used sewing machine to put them together
stuffed insides 3/4 way up with polyfil
the rest with newspaper
I painted 3 coats of white paint on stockings
last coat of paint (#4) I used the orange & black
stenciled on B O O
then antiqued them
added fake cat tails
hot glued moss on top
and moss on the front to look like buttons
sewed 3 rusty bells to the toes
antiqued 3 battery tea lights
and hot glued them between
the inside edge stocking & moss
nailed stockings on wood branch
added a black cord to hang
Now I have a Halloween door greeter
decoration for my Studio door
Give it a try
it's an easy project!

Those stockings are just so cute! I may just have to hunt through my fabric stash to make a few for our front door.

God bless.

Hi Sis,
((( Hugz))) Oh how I have missed you, I have been through so much with tests and medications I could not keep up with my visits.
I am off work to rest for a couple of months. You are so creative and ready for fall!! I love seeing how you decorate thanks for sharing.

That is so great! I love how you decide to make them yourself. Good for you! They're probably better anyway!

Hi Mary! This is such a terrific door greeter!! I've just got to try to make me one if you don't mind! I've never painted on fabric before. Can you tell me what paints you used, and also how you "aged" them.

Hugs for Sam & Belle!
