How to make vintage Christmas sweater stockings







 Easy to make sweater stockings:

 Buy a vintage sweater or 2 at a thrift, found mine at Goodwill for $1.
 Lay out a pattern on the best part of your sweater. 
Cut one front, one back, using a pattern like one shown above.
 If you do use pattern above make it longer. 
Pin together make sure front or outside of fabrics are facing each other.
   Slowly sew around, the bumpy sweater fabric can catch in your machine.  
Now have fun!

Hello blogging friends :-}

Hello blogging friends..You've been on my mind, thought I'd stop by sorry I've not been here in a while. How you are all doing.. whats new with you? If you have a second please let me know. Not much new with me lifes slow, a bit boring .. I've been spending some of my time on Pinterest  stop by & see  me IsabellasCloset on Pinterest... I'm still work part time & craft & sew.... my grandchildren "loves of my life" Bella almost 16 Sam 12 are very busy with school sports. Sadly I don't get to see them as much as I'd like but I understand.. gee don't know what else to say..  Mary

My Rose hanky brooch pin..

Hello... hope this post finds you all doing well..
 Haven't blogged for awhile..
I made this rose brooch yesterday thought I'd share it with you..
Fun easy to do. Used 2 vintage hankies.

 How to make Rose hanky pin
 You need 2 or 3 hankies.
 Cut bottom hanky 2-1/2" around edge, gather.
Top hanky cut 2" around edge, gather, roll add to bottom hanky.
 Cut 2 leaves from last hanky
 add interfacing to stiffen leaves and sew to bottom..
Add a pin back!
