~a bit of sewing~

What have you all been up to?
I've been working in the yard, reading, sewing,
doing my graphic design work
and going to my evening job.
I made the above pillow using vintage barkcloth
one of my favorite fabrics to work with and
pink gingham (another favorite)
antique white buttons.
I also make a bag from scraps of fabric and a large old button.
Hope you all are having a very Happy Spring!
My 400 post is coming up soon!

Hi Mary, You sound as busy as can be. I love the sewing projects. Not working on any big projects myself but I made some things to take with me to quilt retreat (I leave tomorrow). Wishing you a great week. :D

Your sweet pillow is very pretty. I've done no sewing in almost two weeks. It's all painting here. I must sew soon before my withdrawals get the best of me. I'm having a free giveaway. If your interested, stop on by to add your name.

Mary, my friend ~ Lovely creation. I collect the feedsack fabrics, vintage. Can't sew worth a lick. I tried once when I was pg to make my maternity smocks. Mother came at lunch, saw what I had done (she was an exquisite seamstress) & started yelling 'GET THE RIPPER!' I had everything sewn in on the wrong places ... chuckle. Love you blog. I see that you do blog backgrounds. Yours are just lovely but they don't fit the whole computer screen. Do you make any that fit the whole screen?

Hey there Mary!
Well I myself have been up to WAY too much but that's just where I am in life right now. I can't really change it for a while! It's okay though.

I have been SO busy that I haven't checked in on you though. Once or twice only but never left any comments. I HAVE been thinking of you though and MADE myself come visit you today so I could say "HELLO"......

Glad to see your doing well.......keeping busy to say the least huh??

Wishing you many happy days ahead.

I may not be back for a few days or even weeks......got to get Miss Priss graduated this coming Monday then off to Africa the following week. Ugh....
So much to do!!
Be blessed,
Joyce
