~My handmade Santas & houses~

Here are a few of My Santa's.. all of the wood Santa's I cut out from pine using a band saw. I then painted them & glittered them.. Most of the patterns I designed myself. The plaster Santa's (ones on the right) I made using rubber molds. I used rubber liquid rug backing to make my molds. I painted the liquid rubber coat after coat over antique Santa's. When the molds were thick enough I then poured plaster into the molds let them dry and painted & glittered them..One Santa is from a wood spool..One Santa is from a metal tin can.. Most of these I made last year :-}

My handmade houses..I used tag board & corrugated card board.. I painted them & glittered them.. Great fun to make :-}

Your Santas are so beautiful! My mom loves Santas and has quite a few of them. I collect snowmen. My husband has threatened to throw out any new snowman that makes his way into our house. But I can them, normally.

And your houses are so adorable! Very talented you are. Thanks for stopping by and for the words of encouragement.

Love,
Julie

Hi...your friend Mary asked for the recipe of my Coconut Creme Pie...
3 Tablespoons flour
3/4 cup sugar
3 beaten egg yolks
2 cups milk
*********
Make a paste using flour and sm. amt. of milk. Add other ingredients and, stirring (it really has a tendency to burn so you need to keep stirring) cook until thick. Add 1 teaspoon Vanilla and 1 can Coconut.
Pour into your pie shell and cover with whipped, sweetened egg whites. Put into hot oven for about 8 minutes or until whites are nice and brown.
This recipe makes a great Banana Pie, as well...just leave out the coconut and add ripe bananas....

GOOD GRIEF...now I'm hungry for one again!! :) Hope this works good for Mary.
