~Happiness is a friend like Carole~

"Yes happiness is a friend like Carole" Scoundrels And Rogues. She sent me these treasures! 2 books and fabric.. Plus some other goodies..The Five little peppers book was really for my Granddaughter Isabella.. But I love the book so much I can not part with it. So what I will do is Isabella & I will read it together here at my cottage.. Hope that's OK Carole. I will give it to her someday, its a delicate old antique that needs to be watched over..... And that fun little book "happiness is a sad song" made me smile & I needed that.. Yesterday was such a sad day due to the death of Jessie Davis. It upset me so bad my heart hurt.. So today I'm not watching the news.. Ok and the Victorian child fabric is darling!! Can anyone please give me some ideas as what to make this this adorable fabric? I thought about making pockets & putting antique sheet music made into stars or hearts trimmed with with Grandmothers antique glass glitter and some vintage buttons and trims maybe an "altered art" piece? What do you think?? Thanks again Carole you are such a sweetie!

You, my Friend, are an Angel (Queen of them) and so creative. The idea for the fabric is too cool!!!
I knew you would love the books; isn't the Pepper family great? Everyone should read it.
I must admit I am fortunate to know you!!!
Thank you for perking me up.
Love

Oh, I love the Five Little Peppers:)
The fabric would look so cute as quilt blocks in a quilt for one of your twin beds...

What a wonderful friend we have and I LOVE your idea with the fabric.
Happy Sunday to you and you are right...Don't watch the news, it's too depressing.

She has a tutorial on making one! I just cut it out of cardstock and attached ribbons to tie it in the back!
Good luck, Ele

Ohhhhh I love all of your goodies and I just "met" Carole she is soooo sweet! If Isabella is like Isabelle then I might save that book until she is 20! It is so cute! And my little Belle or Tori I best not discrimate would turn it into pulp in no time flat. I too am still deeply saddened about the news from your state,I tend to mourn victims of this type of tragedy for a long while, long after CNN forgets about them! I wish we lived in the same town we could mull our sorrow over a cup of tea! "see" you soon!

Mary, what great fabric. Can't wait to see what you make with it. Yes, Amy is right, it's too sad to turn the tv on today. Our mailman and friend lost both his children and the last one was killed by the boyfriend.
