Mary - my husband Bob and I have been talking constantly about Amy these past days - and of course this morning we spoke of her and hoped that today all would go well during her surgery. The tears well in my eyes each time I think of her or look at her dear face on her blog - I am truly upset to know yet another young woman is facing the battle with this terrible diasease.
I am a cancer survivor myself, (colorectal) and have been healthy now for 18 years since surgery, radiation and chemo. I thank the Lord each day for keeping me here - there is so much in life I still want to do.
Most people are surprised when they learn that my dear Bob is now 5 years out from his diagnosis of breast cancer - yes, that's male breast cancer which is so rare!! He's walked the walk too - mastectomy, chemo and now on drugs the same as women receive. He is doing well and his prayers are definitely with Amy today.
Please do keep us posted as Amy said you would - we all need to know how she is doing until she is able to type again. You are a true friend - a person each one of us needs so badly when going through a situation such as this.
Hugs to you too - Mary.

Mary,
How your post touched my heart. Thanks so much for taking the time to add it. For both you and your husband Bob to have had to deal with cancer is so sad. Glad to hear you have had 18 years of health. How wonderful for you! Yes, I've heard that Men too get breast cancer.. How awful that male or female must endure this dreaded disease! Please tell your husband Bob thanks for his thoughts & prayers for Amy. Both of you will be in mine.
Take care & God bless you both :-} ~Mary~ isabellascloset
