My huge 96"sofa is almost 9 years old and starting to wear on the skirt.. So I took the box pleated skirt off (never did like it). I then added the matelasse piece across the bottom, well now it too has worn. So this time I added a deep ruffled skirt.. It took me forever to do this! I had to hand ruffle it. Never again. To all your lucky Gals out there that have a machine ruffler bless your sweet hearts! LOL.. my 2 machines are OLD. I do like the ruffled skirt much better..

I love your sofa! Your living room is gorgeous!!
Hi Mary,
I love your sofa. The Norfolk Rose Pattern is one of my favoite. Did you buy the sofa that way or had it especially covered in that fabric? Your LR always brings a joy to my heart and a smile to my face when I see it. So warm, cozy and inviting. I have that wallborder in my bedroom, valance and duvet that I have made. Never tire of looking at the fabric
Hi Mary,
Meant to add to my other post that I always have "ruffled" by hand. Thats how my mother taught me. I don't even know if my machine ruffles or not. LOL Try ruffling a dust ruffle on a king size bed. LOL It looks great but time consuming. Love your sofa.
The new ruffled skirt couldn't possibly be more perfect.
That looks fabulous! I love the Norfolk Rose print. I have it in my guest bath. I just never get tired of it. On my sofa I have a duvet cover tucked under the cushions. It is a Cath Kidston that I bought from.....drum roll here.....Amy!
It sure looks beautiful in the photo!
Mary,
I LOVE IT!!!! I think it was worth every minute you spent on it. It's a TOTAL CUSTOM piece of furniture now!!!
WHAT TALENT!!!

Hi Mary, Love the sofa, you did a great job ! Your home is so lovely . It should be featured in a decorating magazine. Keep posting pictures of your home. I love to see them.

Mary, I love, love your sofa! I am looking for a new one. I would love to have one like that but, I have to many teenage males visiting my house right now. Maybe in a few years. Lucky you!
Wow! What a difference the ruffled skirt makes! And I loved it before. I truly covet it now!!!! And I love that flower pillow on the right end, too!
